vii. Regulation
Regulatory Risk
How do you block users from the US and other jurisdictions restricted for regulatory reasons?
U.S users are blocked from accessing the CAMP application, blocked from mint/redeem, and staking USDca via IP geoblocks and/or KYC procedures.
How do you block users from sanctioned countries?
CAMP utilizes measures such as geoblocking, third-party risk assessment and screening tools, as well as KYC measures.
How is USDca permissionless in the secondary market while CAMP permissions the mint/redeem function?
Users are freely able to transfer USDca to any permissionless AMMs or other protocols of their choosing as CAMP is unable to control this process post mint of USDca, much like USDC minting at Circle is only enabled through approved parties but can be held and used in DeFi subsequent to mint without restriction.
What plans do you have for further decentralization of the protocol and structure?
Decentralizing the protocol is on the CAMP roadmap, with the intent to transfer protocol decisions and risk management to a DAO in the future, enabled by our $ENA governance token. It is the intention to decentralize the hedging infrastructure as soon as it makes logistical and operational sense.
